Everything you need to write about Indiemaker, without asking us first.
The boilerplate, the facts, the logos and every release we have published. If what you need is not here, the contact route is at the bottom of the page and a person answers it.
The standing paragraph. Copy it as it is.
Three lengths, so you can take the one that fits the space. All three say the same thing and all three are current.
Indiemaker is a platform for buying and selling digital assets, side projects and micro internet businesses.
Indiemaker is a curated platform for buying and selling digital assets, side projects and micro internet businesses. It standardises how small digital assets are discovered and transferred, and keeps a permanent record of every transfer that runs through it.
Indiemaker is a curated platform for buying and selling digital assets, side projects and micro internet businesses. It exists to standardise how small digital assets are discovered and transferred, improve liquidity, and turn independent projects into a legitimate asset class. Learn more at indiemaker.com.
The facts, and the ones we have not published yet.
A grey chip means not declared. It carries the same meaning here as it does on a listing: we have not published it, rather than we are hiding it.
Every release, in full, and permanently.
We publish when there is news. There is no monthly quota, so quiet months look quiet.
Take what you need. No form, no email, no waiting.
Anything you might want in a story is downloadable from this page. The only things that need a human are an interview, a comment on a story, or data we have not published.
Logo pack
The mark and the wordmark, on light and on dark, with clear-space rules. Do not recolour either or set the wordmark in another face.
Brand colours
The four values that carry the brand. The rest of the palette is functional and is documented in the design system rather than here.
Product screenshots
Full-width renders of the Discover page, a listing record and the transfer checklist. Cleared for publication and free of any real user’s data.
Founder photo
One headshot, cleared for editorial use. Caption it “Beverley, founder of Indiemaker”. Please do not publish a surname.
One-page fact sheet
The section above as a single printable page, dated, so you are never working from a stale copy of the facts.
Founder bio
Two lengths, first name only, with the link to beverley.io. Written to be used verbatim in a contributor line or a panel programme.
How to refer to us, and the two things we ask you not to write.
Neither of these is style preference. One is a regulatory position and one is a personal one, and we would rather explain them here than send a correction afterwards.
- Platform. Indiemaker is a platform, or infrastructure for transferring ownership of small digital assets.
- Beverley, founder of Indiemaker. First name only, in every reference. @atomicbev if you need a handle.
- Declared by the owner. Where you quote a figure from a listing, that is what it is.
- Owner to owner. The two parties transact directly with each other.
- Marketplace. It carries a payments and regulatory meaning that does not describe what Indiemaker does, and we correct it wherever it appears.
- A surname. The founder does not use one publicly. This is a standing request, not a preference for this story.
- Verified listings. We do not verify a seller’s financial figures in general and do not describe a listing as verified. A listing can carry a named mark confirmed by an outside source, such as Revenue Verified · via Stripe or Identity Verified · via Stripe Identity, and that mark covers only the thing it names. The trust page sets out exactly what is and is not checked.
- Any figure we have not published. If a number about the platform is not on this page or in a release, it did not come from us.
One address, one person, one working day.
There is no press office. The mail goes to somebody who can actually answer it.
Get in touch
hi@indiemaker.comFor interviews, comment on a story you are writing, fact checks, or anything in the media kit that is not there yet.
If you are on deadline, say so in the subject line and give us the hour you need it by. We would rather answer briefly and on time than fully and late.
What we can and cannot talk about
- Happily: how transfers of small digital businesses actually work, what this market looks like from the inside, our own position on verification, and where we think we are wrong.
- Not at all: the identity of any buyer or seller, the price of any individual transfer, anything about a live deal, or any user’s data.
- On request: aggregated market figures, where the sample is large enough to publish without identifying anybody in it.
The position underneath all of this.
If you are writing about whether platforms in this market can be trusted, the trust page is the honest version and the more interesting story.
What we check, and what we do not
