Pico8 Sprite Creator & Sharing Platform

A web-based pixel art tool for creating, sharing and remixing sprites for the Pico8 fantasy game console. The platform features:

• User-friendly pixel art editor for creating new sprites
• Public gallery of community-created sprites available to view and download
• Ability to fork and modify existing sprites to create variations
• Built-in feedback system for community suggestions and feature requests

The site is built with vanilla JavaScript and jQuery on the frontend, with a Flask backend. It's a lightweight but capable platform, previously using Redis caching though this proved unnecessary for current traffic levels.

The sharing system is straightforward - artists can create and share sprites directly via links, whilst submission to the main gallery requires quick admin approval via email link. The site currently receives 75-80 monthly visitors and 2-3 new sprite submissions per month.
