Contactless Menus For Restaurants

Contactless menus for restaurants using NFC and QR codes.

As restaurants re-open after COVID-19, they need to do everything they can to ensure their customer’s safety. 

The app offers tabletop displays embedded with NFC tags and QR codes that allow customers to simply “tap” their phones (or scan the codes) to access a restaurant‘s menu. Research has shown that traditional, physical restaurant menus can hold just as many germs as your average toilet, so this is a much safer way to let your customers know what’s available.

I think there are a few things that separate this app from other similar products:

1. The codes simply link to the restaurants existing online menu. There‘s no point in recreating it.
2. It is entirely standalone — no attachment to any sort of point-of-sale system
3. Because it’s standalone, pricing is simple. One small monthly fee, and whatever the cost of each product is.
4. This isn’t very noticeable to the end-users, but each tap or scan is actually going to a unique link on the app domain, which is then automatically redirected to the appropriate menu. This allows for restaurants to easily update their links later, collect analytics, or even include data collection or surveys during the process.

1. Domain name (purchased on Namecheap)
2. Logo design files (Adobe Illustrator)
3. Professional mockups
4. All website images (all images are either from Unsplash or original content, so no copyright issues)
5. Promo video (including Premiere Pro file) and all associated footage
6. Website (built on Webflow, using their CMS for blog and their “form submission" tool for demo requests)
7. Rights to all blog content (original, written by me)
8. Internal tool for generating unique links
9. Internal tool for generating QR codes
10. Design files for all existing prototypes (all the products you see on the website, branded as “Noodle Street”, are original designs. I will provide all relevant Illustrator and Photoshop files)
11. Existing physical prototypes – I have a few of the “plaques”, table tents, and table cards, which I can ship to you, if you'd like.
12. A few hours of my time to help you get set up and explain how everything works (we can discuss this more specifically). I'm also willing to work on an hourly contract basis should you need any further help.
