AI Prompt Enhancement Browser Extension with 7K Users

teleprompt adds an Improve button next to the prompt box on ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Lovable and Base44. One click rewrites a rough prompt in place — no copy-paste, no tab switching, no separate app. A second mode, Craft, builds a prompt from a few guided questions.

We started it in 2024 because the three of us were rewriting our own prompts two or three times before getting a usable answer. Two years on it has 7,000 users across 128 countries, Google's Featured badge, and 76 ratings at 4.6 stars.

The economics are simple: $4,141 in trailing revenue against about $10/month in running costs — roughly $4,021 of annual profit at a ~97% margin. 52 active subscribers from 258 sold lifetime. Every install has come from Chrome Web Store search; there has never been any paid acquisition.

It is also, honestly, a maintenance job we have stopped keeping up with, and the sections below say exactly where. Reach is intact and conversion is normal at 2.6%. What the product loses are users who click once, get nothing back because an integration broke, and never return. One repair release in July lifted usage 50% and it has held.
